I'm Kimberly Wiethoff. I've been teaching piano for 25 years across Texas, and for the last 6 years I've taught out of my home right here in Pearland. I believe anyone, at any age, can learn to play — my studio has welcomed first-time five-year-olds and adults picking up the piano for the very first time, side by side.
Lessons take place right in my home studio, in a quiet, comfortable setting where students can focus, ask questions freely, and build confidence at their own pace. I teach students to truly read music — not just play by memory — building a solid foundation in scales and the circle of fifths so the instrument makes sense, not just the pieces in front of them.
Lessons for kids and adults, taught in-home
Every lesson is one-on-one, held in my home piano studio in the Shadow Creek area of Pearland. Here's how lessons are structured.
Young beginners (age 5+)
Patient, encouraging instruction for children just starting out, building strong fundamentals in a way that keeps lessons fun.
Kids & teens
Structured progression through technique, reading, and repertoire, with room to explore the music students love.
Adult students
It's never too late to start. Adult lessons move at a pace that respects your schedule and your goals, whatever they are.
Reading music & theory
Students learn to truly read notes, not just memorize — building a solid foundation in scales and the circle of fifths so the instrument makes sense.
In-home studio
All lessons are taught in my home studio in Pearland's Shadow Creek area — a comfortable, familiar space to learn in.
Lesson length & schedule
Private lessons run 30 to 45 minutes, once a week, giving students a steady, consistent rhythm to build on from lesson to lesson.

Two recitals a year, so students have something to work toward
Every student at Pearland Piano Lessons has the chance to perform twice a year in a supportive recital setting — a milestone that builds confidence on and off the bench.
Recitals are open to students of all ages and levels, from a first five-year-old's simple piece to an adult student's favorite song. Families and friends are always welcome to attend.
